Varjojen Vanajanlinna is a collaboration between Hämeenlinna Theatre and Vanajanlinna, inviting audiences to an immersive and unforgettable theatrical experience. as the story unfolds, guests journey from elegant salons of the castle to its darkest corners, while unique history of Vanajanlinna comes vividly to life.

Vanajanlinna's butler leads his guests on a secret tour. Along the way, visitors find themselves travelling decades back in time - straight to the 1920s, when Carl Wilhelm Rosenlew, the man who commissioned the castle, lived there with his wife Märtha. The history of Vanajanlinna and its ghost stories are deeply interwined, and guests will encounter those who left this world long ago.

Märtha is undoubtly Vanajanlinna's most famous ghost: a veiled figure in white, whom visitors from around the world have described seeing in almost identical form in the castle's corridors and gardens. What secrets does Vanajanlinna hold within its walls - and why did Märtha never leave?

At Vanajanlinna, time does not stand still - it accumulates. Step by step, you move from the splendour of the 1920s into the shadows of the 1940s. Who is the mysterious dealder in dath, Willi Daugs, who appears and disappears like a shadow, makin the castle walls whisper?

Do you dare to enter the castle's dungeon, where a network of underground secret passages begin?

Varjojen Vanajanlinna dinner experience takes place in the historic setting of restaurant Carl Wilhelm in Vanajanlinna Resort. We kindly ask you to proceed to dinner immidiately after your tour. The dinner experience lasts approximately 90 minutes.
